Food as Medicine

Meals & Nourishment - Baja Iboga Retreat

This retreat centre views cooking as art and food as medicine. The kitchen takes great pride and pleasure in creating carefully prepared meals, snacks, and nourishment specifically tailored to our medicines and ceremonies. The Iboga Medicine is best received on a clean and healthy diet, with no food after 2PM on ceremony day until the following morning.

For this reason the food is organic, vegetarian, sustainably-sourced, free range, and natural. There will be an option for fish as protein, but it's primarily vegetarian. We can also cater for dietary restrictions as needed. Most of the dishes include carefully combining ingredients as well as following supportive ayurvedic principles. In addition to meals, there are teas, water, vegan milk, fruit, dried fruit, nuts, and cookies on offer throughout the retreat.

Iboga Retreat Schedule

Your 4-Night/5-Day Journey

Welcome to your Medicine Spirit journey. The first day focuses on settling in, building community, and preparing your mind, body, and spirit for the work ahead. Through gentle rituals, group sharing, and personalized preparation, we create a foundation of safety and connection.

The heart of our iboga retreat experience. After mindful preparation, we enter ceremony together, where experienced facilitators guide you through your Iboga journey with attentiveness and care. Our approach honors the medicine's wisdom while ensuring you feel supported at every step.

Perhaps the most important day of your journey. Through carefully guided practices, we help you process, understand, and integrate your experience. This day includes both group sharing and personal reflection time, allowing insights to settle and take root. We also offer optional activities like hot spring visits, nature walks, and free movement.

Today focuses on embodying the wisdom gained and strengthening community bonds. Activities may include additional complementary ceremonies, creative expression, and practical discussions about bringing your insights back into everyday life.

Before returning home, we gather for a final ceremony to honor your journey and set intentions for continued integration. You'll leave with specific tools and practices to continue your healing process.

The Medicines, and experiences, of this retreat will leave you truly transformed and empowered. Taking the new you back into your life is where the real work begins. We are available to continue to support your journey of embodying your transformation along your path forward.
